A thought to ponder over the weekend: How have you helped destabilize the Peace in your environment?
One thing that we tend to forget when we talk about Peace is our actual environment and how we forget that having a clean and healthy environment is essential to any Peace process. So I want you to think about how you have negatively affected the space around you and how that affects not only yours but others Peace. I don’t mean to say you are doing this on purpose but there are things that we might do that we are unaware of.
If in a “poor” community all of the abandoned homes were boarded up and those that were in bad shape knocked down and vacant lots kept clean would there be a better sense of Peace?
If city services were at 100% active in that same community would there be a better sense of Peace?
If the city helped businesses shape a community by encouraging them to provide certain opportunities to that community would there be a better sense of Peace?
If all of this took place do you think that “poor” community would look any different than any other community in the city?
Just some thoughts for the weekend hope you enjoy your time with family, friends, and even if you’re by yourself enjoy it because you’re alive.
